AJWC Scholarships

Avon Junior Women's Club would like to congratulate the winners of the 2009 Scholarships:

Denise A Prieto $1000 scholarship

Jennifer Laraway $500 scholarship

 

College Scholarship for a Graduating Female Senior from Avon High School, Avon, OH.

$500 Award

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist and encourage women who plan to attend college in an effort to reach their educational goals. The scholarship will be awarded to a qualified Avon High School graduating female senior based on academic record and goals. It will be awarded in May.

Scholarship Criteria

Applicants must:
  • Reside in Avon
  • Be a female, graduating from Avon High School
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Have demonstrated involvement in community/volunteer experience, etc.

Complete a scholarship application and submit it by

April 30th of 2009

College Scholarship for a Woman Currently Residing in Avon, OH

$1,000.00 Award

The purpose of this scholarship is to assist and encourage women returning to college in an effort to reach their educational goals. The scholarship will be awarded to a qualified Avon woman based on academic record and goals. It is awarded on an annual basis, and will next be awarded in May.

Scholarship Criteria

Applicants must:
  • Live in Avon, OH
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Have completed at least a quarter/semester of college, full or part-time
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
